Our client, an international Japanese company with its European headquarters in the Amsterdam area, is the world’s leading manufacturer of mechanical machinery. They are currently seeking a Sales Assistant to strengthen their European sales team.
As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the entire sales process – from preparing quotations and processing orders to invoicing and coordinating national and international shipments. You will support both export and import activities and communicate directly with European subsidiaries, shipping companies and warehouses.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full sales cycle: quotations, order processing, invoicing and shipping documentation (import/export).
- Coordinate with warehouses and shipping companies to ensure timely deliveries.
- Communicate professionally via phone and email with clients within and outside the EU.
- Adhere to internal sales procedures and ensure smooth international trade processes.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments/stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely order fulfilment.
Requirements:
- Fluent in both Dutch and English; German is a plus.
- At least 2 years of experience in international trade, sales administration, logistics or similar field is preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Proactive and hands-on team player.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must hold a valid Dutch work permit.
- Willing and able to work on-site.
