Air Freight Operator, Amsterdam area
Japanese and English, Full time
Our client is a global logistics and transportation company headquartered in Japan, with operations based in the Amsterdam area. They are currently looking for an Air Cargo Operator to join and strengthen their operations team.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in air cargo export or import who are looking to further develop their careers within an international Japanese organization. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience and develop a comprehensive skill set across both air cargo export and import operations while working in a dynamic global logistics environment. The role also includes Contract Logistics customer service tasks, allowing you to further broaden your logistics expertise.
Job Description
Air Freight Operations (ca 70%)
- Handle operational processes for air export shipments
- Coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders and customs brokers
- Manage shipment schedules
- Respond to customer inquiries
- Provide support for import operations (if necessary)
Contract Logistics – Customer Service (ca 30%)
- Serve as the primary contact for Contract Logistics (CL) customers, handling inquiries and coordination
- Coordinate outbound shipments and inbound warehouse operations
- Work closely with the warehouse operations team
Requirements
- Holding a Dutch work permit
- Fluent Japanese and Business-level communication skills in English
- Experience in air export operations within the freight forwarding industry
- Ability to communicate smoothly and effectively in Japanese and English with both internal teams and external partners
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members
- Ability to take initiative and work proactively
Work conditions
- Fulltime onsite work, Working hours 8:30-17:00
- The salary will discussed based on experience
